As a Johns Hopkins graduate student, a proud female veteran transitioning into the biotech industry, and now a dedicated BioBuzz voice for the life science community, attending the 2023 HERstory Gala was the best decision I could have made. The Gala is more than just an evening of celebration and connection, it’s also about gaining knowledge and being empowered. The HERstory Gala is the premier event for Women in Bio - Capital Region’s chapter and supporters. This elegant event attracts men and women from industry, government, nonprofits, and academia from across the Capital Region Metro Area and provides unique opportunities to meet with some of the region’s most successful women.
The focus of HERstory Gala is on highlighting leaders in life sciences who have made a significant impact in the region during the year. Attendees will have the privilege of listening to our distinguished keynote speakers, Helen Sabzevari Ph.D., President and CEO, Precigen, and Kelly Schulz, CEO of the Maryland Tech Council, share their life story and career insights. There is also a segment of the event allocated for the presentation of the 2024 Rising Star Award Winner.
