Buzzin’ Brood: Student Spotlight – Sandra Adade, FCC Biotech Bootcamp Graduate

Sandra Adade has always been driven by a desire to give back to her community through health and science. When a friend who had completed the FCC Biotech Bootcamp shared their success, Sandra seized the opportunity. Through the program, she gained hands-on lab experience, explored cutting-edge research like CAR T cell therapy, and found inspiration in the power of biotech to transform lives.

How did you get here?

I have been looking for a more fulfilling career where I can actively give back to my community through the world of health and science. When this opportunity came my way from a friend who also took the Bootcamp and was successful, I jumped at it. 

What is currently blowing your mind right now? 

What is currently blowing my mind is the research behind CAR T cell therapy and how scientists are now able to genetically engineer T cells, which can then target specific cancer cells and destroy them. The science behind it is still being perfected, but the fact that in the future, the science can be applied to many other diseases including cancer is mind blowing.

CEO of a Fortune 500 Company that funds nonprofits around the world to help build and educate young Men and Women in third world countries to pursue careers in the STEM Field. 

If you had unlimited resources to start your own company, what problem would you solve? What would be the name of your company? 

If I had unlimited resources to start my own company, I would end poverty and hunger around the world and make higher education free.
